FAMILY ACTIVITIES PESCHIERA DEL GARDA

FAMILY ACTIVITIES
Peschiera del Garda

Peschiera del Garda is a stunning town for all visitors; the natural beauty combined with the man-made fortress walls provide a beautiful setting for romantic getaways, solo yoga retreats, and holidays with the whole family. If you’re planning the latter and can’t wait to get your kids to Italy, you’ve chosen a great location for a holiday they’ll remember for some time. Below, we’ve listed some activities your children will love!
1. Bracco Baldo Beach
Regardless of age, who doesn’t love a relaxing day on the beach? While sitting in the sun, playing on the sand, having fun in the water, and even watching as dogs play nearby, Bracco Baldo Beach is a great option to keep your family entertained.

2. Watersports
As long as your children are old enough and you’re confident they can handle watersports, there will be plenty of options available in Peschiera del Garda. Whether you want them to enjoy surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, or any other watersports, Peschiera del Garda offers a number of services on Lake Garda; they could even learn from experts and improve their watersports skills on the lake.

3. Gardaland
Essentially Lake Garda’s very own Disneyland, Gardaland will be one giant playground for your children and is one of the best options for keeping them happy in the town. As well as over 40 rides, there’s live shows and even an aquarium for the whole family to enjoy. Thanks to the dedicated picnic areas and a closing time well into the evening, there’s no reason why you can’t make a whole day of it with the family.

What’s great about this option is that there’s a free shuttle bus that runs from Peschiera del Garda to the park for those who don’t have access to a car; the journey takes around 10 minutes.

4. Family Cycle
If you want the family to stay active while in Italy, why not go on a family bike ride? From Peschiera del Garda, you’ll find a number of routes through beautiful scenery. While the adults soak in the stunning views, the family will enjoy being out on a bike (it’ll be great to see them without a phone or some form of gaming device in their hands, right?).

5.Tennis
If your children are old enough to appreciate running around and hitting a few tennis balls, Tennis Club Peschiera will be a good option. Whenever you get a spare hour, this will allow them to run around and expel some energy while they pretend to be the next Roger Federer.

6. Museo Della Palazzina Storica
Of course, it doesn’t all have to be about exercise for the body…what about exercise for the mind? For family who are constantly intrigued about the world and their surroundings, Museo Della Palazzina Storica is a small town museum that looks modest from the outside. As soon as you walk inside, however, the building is full of gems and your children can learn about the importance of the area (and this very building) during WWI.

You’ll find another fun day out with Museo Della Pesca E Delle Tradizioni Lacustri (a nautical museum!).

7.Get Ice Cream
Finally, though not strictly an activity, your children wouldn’t forgive us if we didn’t mention the famous Italian ice cream (known as ‘gelato’). Around the town, you’ll find a number of gelato establishments including Latteria Ugolini and La Gelateria HomeMade. Perhaps you can try the different gelato sellers and have a competition during your stay to see which your family thinks is best?
